Trivia

Welcome to the Trivia page of Frames of Reference. Whether you are a casual consumer of movies or consider yourself a connoisseur of the fine arts, you will find something that will appeal to you on this page.

I gratefully acknowledge the inspiration and insights from my fellow bloggers like Anita (Trivia Spice of Life), Dr. Anup (Mehfil Mein Meri), Madhulika (Dustedoff) and Anuradha Warrier (Conversations over Chai). Thanks also to my IIMA batchmates who endured my idiosyncratic Bollywood trivia in our WhatsApp group for more than three years. In fact the proximate trigger for my starting this blog was a conversation I recently had with Anil & Archana Bisht and Varun & Ritu Sharma. Our collective nostalgia for the Antakshari sessions and the WhatsApp trivia inspired me to start this blog. Thank you guys!

While the questions are heavily biased by my personal tastes and the repertoire of movies I have seen in my six plus decades, I have tried to make the questions cover multiple genres, multiple eras, multiple aspects of film making (story, music, acting\/actors, lyrics, cinematography, etc.).

Many of the questions come from conversations that I have had with fellow movie enthusiasts, while others are based on interesting factoids that I picked up while browsing through blogs or watching YouTube videos.

The questions range from moderate to challenging, and I am sure you will find them interesting and appealing to you.

Quizzes on this page will be organized by themes. Please provide your feedback. We’d love to hear from you!

On a parting note, just reminder that the quiz master’s ignorance or memory lapse is final and binding. May the force be with you!
