Bollywood is famous for its music — the showstoppers, the heartbreakers, the chart‑busters that outlive the films themselves. But hidden behind the hits is a quieter, stranger history: the songs that were recorded, rehearsed, sometimes even lavishly filmed… and then quietly erased from the final cut.

Some were victims of ruthless editing rooms.
Some were too bold for the censors.
Some were simply unlucky.
And a few became bigger hits outside the movie than they ever would have inside it.
